THE TOKEF PRAYER
This is a day of awesome power. The first of the year. Rosh HaShanah. Wonderful yet terrible. The King of the Universe, El Jah, sits on his heavenly throne to judge the world for its virtues and sins. He counts and calculates. Remembers all that was forgotten. Writes names into the Books of Heaven, Earth & Hell. His angels blow horns in heaven. We, the faithful, blow them on Earth. In hell, the devils growl and cover their ears. Everyone wake up! Ten days now you have to repent for your sins before Judgement Day!
Almighty King of Heaven! All souls, living and dead, will pass before you like a flock of sheep in the next ten days. You will decide the fates of all of them this year. Who shall be born and who shall die. "Who will die at his predestined time, who before his time; who by water and who by fire, who by sword, who by beast, who by famine, who by thirst, who by storm, who by plague, who by strangulation, who by stoning. Who will rest and who will wander, who will live in peace, who will be vexed, who will enjoy tranquillity, who will suffer, who will be impoverished, who will be enriched, who will be degraded and who will be exalted"
What chance have we to lessen thy wrath, O Lord?
Thus saith the Lord, these three chances have ye, in the next ten days:

1. REPENT
Stop sinning. Change your ways. Have a change of heart. Feel truly sorry for all you've done wrong. Say sorry. Try to make amends. Turn back to me. Instead of going your own way and sinning all you like, turn back to my way, the holy way that leads to heaven after death
2. PRAY
Read the Holy Bible. Read it to me. Read it to yourself. Read it to your friends. Let your friends read it to you. Sing songs of praise and sorrow. Read prayers written by the saints. Say your own prayers. Write prayers on your walls and on your skin. Let there be prayers wherever you look
3. CHARITY
Give to the needy. Give time, energy, effort, food, clothing, items, money. Whatever you have a surplus of, share it with whoever is in need. For they are my children, your siblings, and I will smile on you for being good to them

Thank you, Lord, thank you! You are so patient with us unworthy sinners! You are hard to anger and easy to please. You don't want us to suffer rebirth. You want us to come home to heaven with you. Even the damned of hell. So it is you show us mercy by giving us these three chances during the Ten Days of Awe
What are we? Mere mortals, mere men. A man is made of dust, and with death, to dust he shall return. He is nothing but "a broken shard, withering grass, a fading flower, a passing shade, a dissipating cloud, a blowing wind, a fleeting dream"
But you, Lord, are the king of all creation. There is no number to your years. No end to your days. The chariots of your angels are uncountable. Your true name is impossible for human tongues to utter. Yet out of your unfathomable mercy, you have given us a name that we can understand, El Jah, and furthermore, you have included Your Name in our name, Israel. We bow before you, almighty El, in awe

I didn't mean to make this post sound so harsh last time. Sorry about that. I removed the harsher bits now. All I meant to say was this. We are all God's creations, and he wants what's best for each of us. He wants us all to walk the holy way of virtue and go to heaven. He don't want us to sin and get chained to the lower realms so we have to get reborn here after death. So that's what I have to warn you all. Sin is bad for you in this life, and bad for your spirit in the next. So don't do it. Quit all the seven sins. Practice all seven virtues every day. That is the holy way. Encourage your friends to do the same. Let them encourage you. Then we will all be serving our heavenly Father, Lord God, as a community, a family. That is what God wants for us here on Earth in this life, and in heaven in the afterlife. Everyone who reads this is being called by God to start living a holy life instead of a sinful one. We're all in this together. So let's start working together for holiness today. God gives each of us different gifts, and calls us each to do different virtuous jobs in his service. He has called my love to work with me and be my one true love. So that is what she should do. As for the rest of you, we will have to work out your callings as we go along. But whatever your calling is, it will be good and virtuous if it is from God, as God is good and virtuous. So is heaven, where we will live with him in the afterlife. Sin does not exist in heaven, so only virtuous souls can live there. Each year we have to be as good as we can. It all gets added up at the end of the year, and put next to our names in the Book of Life. The more good we have done by the time we die, the more spirit dollars we will have to spend in heaven. So make sure you have a good year, as the Jews say, Shana Tova!
