"Your anger lasts a little while, but your kindness lasts for a lifetime. At night we may cry, but when morning comes we will celebrate." (Psalm 30:5)
My love just got cursed on Yom Kippur and is probably feeling rather worried. So God sent this verse to comfort her today. "Don't fret." Says God. "I gotta discipline you for disobedience. But it's just like medicine, you know. Tearing off a plaster. Getting a needle shot. Having sutures stitched in. Swallowing a bitter pill. It hurts and is not nice. But if you're good I'll give you gifts and take you for ice cream after."
So my love be good. Then God won't be too harsh on you. You know what he wants you to do, don't you? Do it then he'll go easy on you
