Nature of God

My love's friend say God allows sin and killing so maybe he is not sad about sin. Maybe God likes sin as much as humans like sinning!

It's natural to think that. Cake tastes so good, God must want me to eat it! Revenge feels so sweet, God must want me to seek it! Both are delusions

How do we know they're delusions? Because humans are the most evolved species. Animals can't stop themselves overeating or killing. Only humans can. That fact alone tells us it is a higher, more advanced way of living. The reason we stop ourselves doing such things is because it is good to stop ourselves. How is it good?

It's good because if we overeat, our bodies get unhealthy. If we lust for blood, our characters get unhealthy. We are not likeable or trustworthy people. We feel constantly anxious when we don't have dirt on other people, and we feel anxious if anyone has dirt on us. We have to constantly hide our deeds in case anyone finds out how corrupt we are. Like spiders we must live forever in the shadows for fear of being exposed

Fear, anxiety and spitefulness are all unhappy emotions. They cause us to live in general misery. We get the little short thrills of winning each day whenever we dish dirt. But it is just an addiction, like smoking or drugs. It gives you a quick thrill, then leaves you wanting, disappointed, depressed, unsatisfied, needing more

I know a lot of people think that being selfish, deceitful and ruthless is a good way of life and gives you power, but that is a delusion. In reality it is just an addiction like any other. No better than a gambling addiction, a sex addiction, a food addiction or a drug addiction

In order to get enlightened, you have to realise that there is more unhappiness created by your lifestyle than joy. That is proof that it is not the way the being who created this world wants you to live, because it gives you more sorrow than joy

A lot of people don't realise how much sorrow their own lifestyles cause them. They just think it is normal. They are so deeply entrenched in it, and live off the thrills every day, that they can see no other way of life. So they put up with the misery of it all like it's the only choice they have, and their only happiness comes from the shortlived thrills of their addiction

But there is a better, more enlightened way of life that leads to constant inner peace and happiness, instead of just shortlasting thrills. That better way is to quit being spiteful, just like you'd quit smoking. It's not easy but it's possible, and you'll feel a whole lot better for it. When you stop enjoying the guilty thrills of causing trouble for others, you will discover the true and lasting honest joys of friendliness

So if we are sinful, it makes us as miserable as drug addicts. On the other hand, if we are virtuous, it makes us joyful in many ways. If we resist the cake, we stay healthy. If we resist the spite, we stay kind, loveable and don't have to live with the anxiety of trying to win or fear of losing

When you are kind there is no victory over other people, yet neither is there any loss, and that grants inner peace, which no sin can give you. Therefore we can see that virtue is good for us. Just being virtuous gives us inner peace. We don't need to get paid for it. It is just given to us as a natural result of our good deeds. Therefore virtue is its own reward

So what does all this have to do with God? Well think about it. God is the one who made the world this way. It's not just the random result of atoms colliding. It's an intelligent design carefully considered down to the finest detail

God made it so that if we do bad things, it turns out bad for us, by ruining our body or our character. But if we do good things, it turns out good for us, by keeping us healthy and giving us inner peace

Why did God make the world like this? Where doing good gives us lasting inner peace and positive emotions, but being bad gives us shortlived thrills followed by anxiety and negative emotions? When we ponder this question, we can work out that God himself must be good, and gives us this life as a testing ground to try to be good like him and resist the temptation to be sinful

We can also work out that if God is so intelligent, he must have a reason for everything. A mindless animal does things with no reason. But a human is able to be reasonable, and we are more evolved. So it follows that God, being more intelligent than us, must be more evolved than us. In fact, if he designed the system of evolution and wrote it into the universe, it means God himself must be the most evolved being in existence. Ergo he must be the most reasonable being in existence. That is why believers innately know there is a reason for everything

God designed certain people to be natural believers. We have the innate ability to intuit God's nature and will, even without having it explained to us. The wordier believers like me are also able to put it into words for others. That's what I'm doing for all you science guys right now. So you can see there is a reason for everything

If we can work out all this stuff, that sin makes us unhappy, but virtue is its own reward, and the creator of the world made it this way on purpose, for a reason, because he is reasonable, we can then work out more stuff based on that

If God created time and long life, he himself must live longer than any being, even robots, even than the universe itself

When we read old religious reports, we can see that God treated people in olden days the same way he treats us now. That means he hasn't changed in thousands of years. This is proof that he lives a long time

Then we can ponder, where does God live? We cannot see him, so we know he doesn't live anywhere on Earth. So he must live in an invisible world we cannot see. That world must be full of virtue and long life, because we can tell that is what God himself is like. This is where we get the idea of heaven

We cannot see God, but we can see his handiwork in the masterpieces of the natural world around us. When we see it, we feel awe inspired. We feel love, admiration and fear of God, when we contemplate just how huge, awesome and powerful he must be. So our belief gradually grows

Then we can think, if God has reasons for everything, he must have reasons for creating us and putting us through all this stuff in life. We then realise God is our parent, like a mother and father

God made mother and father relationships. Even animals care for their young. Yeah spiders eat their kids and brothers and sisters sometimes, and humans sometimes kill their kids. But generally it is accepted and understood that even a lowly, unevolved being like a spider has some care for its children

So it follows that if God created parenthood like this, he himself as our parent must be even more caring than the most caring parents in the world. Yet also he is strict and disciplines us when we are bad. Also if we change our ways and be good, it makes him happy, just like parents are happy when their kids do as they say. So he blesses us with the reward of virtue, which is inner peace and joy. So as we live life each day aware of all this, we slowly realise God is indeed our loving parent

Now if God is our parent and lives in heaven and is invisible and immortal, it follows that we also must have an invisible part to us that can live in heaven with him forever if we please him by following his laws and being virtuous

This invisible part is what we call the soul. We see that a God that is more reasonable than every human being put together would not have created this universe without a soul. He would not create and care for conscious human beings if there was no soul within them to learn from the experience

If God was only as reasonable as a mad scientist, we could argue that the world may just be an experiment with no heart. But when we realise God also created kindhearted souls, we see he must be more reasonable than a mad scientist. So the world is not just a coldhearted experiment

God also created the concept of schooling. Schooling is a big part of human civilization. It is teaching the next generation all the wisdom and knowledge we know, so they can put it to good use and lead happy lives

So if God created the concept of schooling, we can work out that this planet must itself be a school for souls. What are we learning? That being virtuous and ethical is good. So the creator of the world must himself be virtuous and ethical. Plus the creator of us must want us to be virtuous and ethical. Therefore life is a school of virtue. We're here to learn to be virtuous

One virtue is learning to love and live at peace with your natural enemies. Spiders kill flies and cats kill mice. But humans can override those lower animal instincts and be virtuous. If we do we can create world peace and be blessed with inner peace

The fact this is how the world is lets us know it is the will of the Creator of the world. So when our bodies die and our spirits move into the afterlife, God will be pleased with and reward us with a place in the all virtuous heaven, because we have carried out his will be learning to be virtuous here in the school of life

So all this is not just whimsical speculation. It is in the least a well considered estimation. Or a more faithful interpretation is it is the natural, Godgiven gift of visionary people called prophets, who innately intuit the true realities of God, the afterlife and heaven, and communicate those realities to the community

You know you can believe in the things I say, because the more you ponder them, the more you realise they're true. They're not just fanciful concepts that don't hold any water, or ludicrous ideas I randomly decided to make up one day on a whim. They're an observable reality that you gradually grow to understand, realise and live as a way of life. A reality that has been observed by every generation before this one, in all cultures round the world, and continues to be observed today

This is the path of enlightenment in religion. As you slowly realise more and more of the truths about God and reality, they become obvious, and you can no longer reasonably deny them. So the only reasonable thing to do is start living in accord with them

This is something humanity has to do in order to create world peace and advance as a galactic culture. It can be done by switching to the multiversity system, part of which is the new Temple Guild, which will teach this stuff to everyone every day. Kids in school will learn it, and adverts in the various media will remind people of these concepts daily. Then human society will easily be able to have faith in God and live according to his laws
